Faculty with real-world experience.
University of Phoenix faculty includes over 8,000 highly qualified
instructors from across the country. Because we are not limited to those
instructors residing in any one geographical area, we can draw from the
most qualified in any given field or subject.
To ensure the value and relevance of your education, all the instructors hold
a master's or doctoral degree. For the doctoral programs, all instructors hold
doctoral degrees. In addition, they currently hold high-level positions within the
fields they teach. When they are not teaching class, our instructors are
successful CEO's, CFO's, CIO's, supervisors, managers, business owners, education and
healthcare professionals. They know what it takes to manage a staff, manufacture a
product, market a company, and make a profit. They can share and discuss the latest
proven industry theories and techniques. Which means everything you learn in class
can be immediately applied to your career success.
Continuously trained to be the best.
To ensure that our faculty can facilitate a productive and stimulating online
learning environment, they must also complete an extensive testing, training, and
mentoring program. All faculty must meet rigorous standards for both content knowledge
and facilitation skills to pass our selection process. The training process never stops.
Additional development courses, continuing education sessions, and ongoing faculty
meetings are designed to enhance instructional skills and keep faculty up to date.
Your School of Advanced Studies Faculty
For every doctoral program, councils are integral in formulating its many
components; mission, leadership goals, curriculum, program goals and descriptions,
learning goals, and scholarship activities. Specifically, the councils meet
quarterly and are accountable for the following:
- Guiding the overall direction of program course context and content for the explicit program area.
- Guiding the creation of effective competencies and accountabilities of learner education.
- Collaboratively working with and responding to integrating technological, theoretical and praxis factors that impact the direction of the total doctoral education process for learners and faculty.
By selecting and training the best educated and most capable practitioner faculty,
University of Phoenix is able to deliver a quality, real-world education of
unsurpassed value.
