How it works.

Study online with a community of scholars.

All online courses are taken sequentially in 8-week modules, with 1-week breaks between classes. The online programs are strategically supported by three annual residencies, which offer unique opportunities to network on a global level with professional colleagues and faculty from diverse disciplines. These cohort-based workshops and seminars create a community of scholars in which your learning will be accelerated by the exchange of ideas and experience.

During the online classes, you will log-on for group discussions at least 5 days a week at your convenience, day or night. You will conduct collaborative research, engage in mentor-directed study, and complete individual and team projects. Throughout the program, you will have continuous online access to peers and instructors. You will also have access to assisted research services every week-day and unassisted online research 24-hours a day, 7 days a week.

Challenge yourself for rewarding academic results.

While convenience and flexibility are unsurpassed, the online doctoral programs do require a high level of discipline. It will challenge your ability to quickly assimilate new ideas, evaluate complex data, think creatively, and communicate effectively. But it will be rewarding. In recent post-graduation surveys, a significant majority of University of Phoenix alumni express satisfaction with their education and its usefulness for their profession, and say they would recommend the University to others.

Interested in taking your career to a higher level? Earn your doctoral degree from a University that continually updates the curriculum to reflect cutting edge concepts, methods and practices.

“I have researched many doctoral programs, and I feel very comfortable that the University of Phoenix program is at the top of the pack. It’s a rigorous program with a great depth of reading, thinking, and research.”
